April Glossybox Review

I’ve not reviewed a beauty box in a while so why not drop a review of my all time fave subscription box in this month?!

I’ve been subscribed to Glossybox for a couple of years now and hands down it’s the best box I’ve tried. For as little as £8.50 a month you get a gorgeous pink box delivered to your door with at least 5 beauty treats inside!

In the whole time I’ve been a subscriber I don’t think I’ve ever received a ‘repeat’ product (one that I’ve already received in a previous box). I even purchased the Glossybox advent calendar last year and each of the gifts in there were never seen before items!

The April Glossybox is one of either a Fruity or Floral edition - I received the Fruity edition (my fave!) which meant the box had fruity illustrations all over, the tissue paper inside was fruity patterned and each product in the box had a fruity formula!

The colour scheme in the Fruity box is hot pink and lime green (like a watermelon!) and it looks AMAZING! These colours are making me super excited for summer and all of the fruity smells are so refreshing.

Whilst a standard Glossybox featured 5 beauty products to try, this months had six! So let’s take a peek inside!

1) You're One In A Melon Eau De Parfum

This is a perfume by a brand I’d never heard before - Jeanne Arthes, but I love trying out new products and finding new faves so I was super excited to try this out.

Whilst I have a few signature scents in my perfume collection which I wear most days, I like to mix it up a bit in summer and this perfume hits the nail right on the head.

It’s called 'You’re One in a Melon' and is a gorgeous blend of tangerine, blackcurrant and passionfruit with notes of raspberry, peach and apple.

It smells good enough to eat! (I just thought of the Christmas film, Elf when writing that sentence, when he is in the department store and thinks the new fruity perfume is a mouth spray! - Don’t try eating this one ladies).

The bottle is 30ml which makes it a perfect size to pop in your handbag and even take on holiday with you!

2) Hair Flick - Hair Vitamins

I love hair vitamins! Sometimes I don’t feel like I get enough vitamins in my diet (especially on a treat weekend) but I like to always know that my hair is getting what it needs to stay strong and keep growing.

Again this is a brand I’ve not heard of before, Hair Flick, but the vitamin gummies (cute little star shapes with smiley faces on) are vegan and full of goodness so I’m really looking forward to giving these a try!

The vitamins are a turquoise colour and are blue raspberry flavoured (Yum!) so I’m pretty sure they’re going to taste amazing!

3) Dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask

Next up is this cute little tube of face mask by Dr Botanicals. I’ve seen this product before in another beauty box but I never got around to trying it - I definitely will be this time.

The face mask is bursting with moisturising pomegranate and applied just before bed, it works to nourish and hydrate your skin overnight.

4) Dr Paw Paw - Hot Pink Balm

The original Dr Paw Paw balm is one of my fave products for lips and cuticles so I was very excited to see this one hiding in my Glossybox! And even better… it’s pink!

As with all of Dr Paw Paw products, it contains a moisturising paw paw fruit to nourish and hydrate your skin.

This hot pink balm is pretty much the same as the original but the deep pink tint makes it perfect for adding a splash of colour to your lips or even blending on your cheeks for a bit of a rosy glow!

I tried this out already and it blends out so well to leave a subtle pink tint on the skin, even if it’s super bright straight out of the tube!

5) Original Source - Apple & Melon Shower Gel

I’m pretty sure everyone has tried an Original Source product at some point, right? But this time, Original Source has upped their game because this is a shower gel you NEED because…

It smells INSANE!!

The smell of apples and melon just oozes out of the cap as soon as you open it… and when you get it into the shower… oh my!

Like all other Original Source products, this Hydrating Water Infusions is vegan and uses 100% natural fragrance. I mean - if this can smell SO GOOD then why can’t every brand use natural fragrances?

Plus, it’s packed with vitamins, antioxidants and moisturising ingredients, so whilst you scrub away in the shower, its detoxing your skin and raining vitamins all over it.

You won’t want to get out of the shower once you try this!

(This was a full size bottle!)

6) Palmers - Natural Fusions Chia Seed & Argan Oil Hair Mask

Palmers Natural Fusions Chia Seed & Argan Oil Hair Mask - April Glossybox - Miss BouxPin this image on Pinterest

Can a girl ever have too many hair masks? With that many hair products and heat applications, my hair is always in need of a bit of TLC. I always try to apply a hair mask or deep conditioning treatment at least once a week to keep it silky smooth and healthy.

This one is created by Palmers (who is loved for the cocoa butter!) and contains argan oil and chia seeds to hydrate dull hair and protect it from root to tip.

Apply it like any other hair mask - wash hair and apply whilst it’s still damp, leave in for 15 minutes and then rinse off. Your hair will love you!

I’m super excited to try this one out - if Palmers cocoa butter is anything to go by then my hair is going to be silky smooth after this!
