This wasn't an exact match to the pump on our 1998 Subaru Legacy, but it fits as a replacement. This pump uses the same electrical connection as the original part, but the location of the connector is on the top rather than the side. The body and fluid connections were the same shape and location. Note this is only true of the front pump. The rear pump uses a different electrical connector.
Perfect fit, well made, even has the molded in clip feature that secures the OEM Honda wiring connector to it,..all for $130 LESS than Honda Canada wants for the rear washer motor. The 1st picture shows the old pump, which is why you must drain summer washer fluid or water from your washer fluid reservoir before winter. The second picture shows where the two pumps fit on the reservoir on this vehicle. The front pump I ordered from the US and paid shipping and exchange which more than doubled the price I paid for the one I bought on Amazon.ca. The US bought pump didn't have the retaining clip feature that the OEM pump and the "Mean Mug Auto" pump had, so again, I can't say enough what a great find this was.
This pump was a replacement for both the front and rear pumps on my 2008 Honda Element. Comes with a new rubber gasket, which is a bit smaller than the OEM gasket, but fits about the same. The downside is that the pump only has about ~60% of the power of the OEM pump, so doesn't push the washer fluid out at the same height on my windshield as the stock pump. Rear works fine, as it comes out in a stream more than a spray anyway.Pump also just stopped working completely and had to be replaced after being installed for only 1.5 years. Stock pump lasted 10+, so do not recommend this product.
