REVEALED: Glossybox Advent Calendar 2019 Unboxed

The Glossybox Advent Calendar has to be my favourite advent calendar of all time. Like seriously.

This is the second year I’ve had a Glossybox Advent Calendar and oh my goodness… I thought last year was amazing… but this year… wow. There’s a huge mix of amazing well known brands, makeup, skincare, haircare, tools and literally everything you need to look fabulous this party season.

The Glossybox Advent Calendar is currently on sale for £80 (£70 if you’re a subscriber) but it’s worth a massive £370. How crazy is that?! (Day number 25 is worth £40 – that’s half the value of the calendar in one box!)

So let’s have a look at what’s inside.

1. NYX Eyeshadow Palette – Warm Neutrals

We are off to an incredible start with this product! Inside box number 1 is an eyeshadow palette from NYX Professional Makeup. It’s the Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Neutrals and is made up of 16 shades perfect for this time of year. NYX eyeshadows are always super pigmented and long lasting which I love – I can apply NYX eyeshadows at 6am before I go to work and they still look just as good when I get home that evening.

The palette contains a mixture of mattes and shimmers including some metallic shades for the party season.

The NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette is worth £16 and can be found here.

2. Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum 5ml

Next up is a perfume by Chloe. It comes in super cute pink box and is a rather generous deluxe miniature size! The Nomade Eau De Parfum is described as a blend of oak moss, cherry plum and freesia scents.

I can sometimes be a little fussy with perfumes but I was pleasantly surprised with this one – it smells unreal!! The full size of this perfume is definitely going on my Christmas list this year!

The Chloe perfume is worth £7.20 and the full size can be found here.

3. Glossybox Blending Sponge

Day number 3 gives us a Glossybox makeup blending sponge (and it’s pink!). It’s a two sided sponge which makes it perfect for applying foundation/concealer with one side and blending with the other side. These are fab for blending liquids like foundations etc. as well as powders (as long as you keep the sponge dry!)

The Glossybox sponge is worth £10 and can be found here.

4. Nudestix Cream Lip + Cheek Pencil

The first lip product of the advent calendar is from Nudestix and its one of their cream lip and cheek pencils. It comes in a gorgeous pinky nude shade which is my absolute favourite shade for my lips in autumn/winter day time looks! The pencil contains shea butter and is super pigmented too. Either apply as a lip colour or pat a little into your cheek for a subtle glow.

The Nudestix Cream Lip & Cheek Pencil is worth £20.50 and can be found here.

5. The Body Shop Hand & Nail Cream

Product number 5 is a hand and nail cream from The Body Shop. You can receive one of four different Limited Edition scents – Sweet Almond, Tropical Mango, Fruity Strawberry or Wild Argan. I received the Wild Argan and it smells INSANE. The Body Shop hand creams are always so incredible on the skin too –  they leave your hands feeling silky smooth.

The Body Shop hand cream is worth £5 and can be found here.

6. Luxie Inc. Medium Angled Shading Rose Gold Brush

Luxie is a brand I actually discovered in the Glossybox Advent Calendar last year! I’ve since added a couple to my collection and they are definitely one of my fave brush brands now. The bristles are so incredibly soft and they apply makeup like a dream!

This brush is the Medium Angled Shading Brush in Rose Gold (my fave colour!) and it’s perfect for blending in the crease of the eye or the bottom of the brow bone.

All Luxie brushes are vegan and cruelty free too which makes them even more amazing!

The Luxie brush is worth £9.50 and can be found here.

7. LASplash Cosmetics Wickedly Devine Eyeliner

Now onto the first sparkly product of the calendar – this Wickedly divine eyeliner from LASplash just screams party season. It’s a shimmery rose gold liquid eyeliner with a super fine tip to create that perfect line and flick.

The LASplash Wickedly Divine Eyeliner is worth £12.60 and can be found here.

8. MUA PRO/BASE Primer Oil with Gold Flakes

This next product is from MUA – a brand I’m super familiar with and it’s their Pro/Base Primer Oil with Gold Flakes. How sparkly does it look?! It looks SO expensive!

The primer oil infused with gold flakes is the perfect primer for achieving a more glowy complexion – exactly what we all want at this time of year! It also helps achieve a more flawless base when you apply a few drops and massage into the skin before applying makeup.

The MUA Pro/Base Primer Oil is worth £4 and can be found here.

9. Mitchell & Peach Flora No.1 Bath Oil

A bath oil is the perfect product to help you relax in the busy Christmas period so this product from Mitchell and Peach will do exactly that! It’s a blend of rich almond oil and natural vitamin E and it’s scent is a mixture of rose, violet and lavender to soothe and relax the entire body. It smells incredible!

The Mitchell and Peach Flora No.1 Bath Oil is worth £8.05 and can be found here.

10. Sleek Matte Me – Birthday Suit

Box number 10 contains the Matte Me Lip cream from Sleek, in the shade Birthday Suit – this has been one of Sleek’s most popular shades and I already have one of these in my collection! The Sleek Birthday Suit is a similar colour to the Nudestix Crayon we received in box 3 and is a gorgeous nude/pink shade – perfect for this time of year. It dries matte on the lips but doesn’t dry them out.

The Sleek Matte Me Birthday Suit is worth £4.99 and can be found here.

11. Living Proof PHD In-Shower Styler

The first hair product in our Glossybox Advent Calendar is from Living Proof – it’s their Perfect Hair Day In-Shower Styler. This cream styler creates volume and texture without having to apply heat to the hair – just apply it to damp clean hair after washing and scrunch. Let the hair dry naturally for the finished result!

The Living Proof Perfect Hair Day In-Shower Styler is worth £5 and can be found here.

12. Winky Lux Uni-Brow

The Winky Lux Uni-brow is the perfect brow pencil for everyone. One end is a twist up pencil and the other a spoolie. The fab thing about this pencil is you can achieve so many different brow shades with it – the more pressure you apply when using it, the darker brows you get. So if you have fairly light brows (like me) you apply the product gently.

The Winky Lux Uni Brow is worth £15 and can be found here.

13. Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Professional Grade IPL Dark Spot Concentrated Serum

One of the more expensive products in the calendar is this Professional Grade IPL Dark Spot Concentrated Serum by Dr Dennis Gross. It contains L-ascorbic acid, lactic acid and licorice root to reduce the appearance of dark spots on the skin whilst also improving tone and texture. Just apply a few drops to clean skin and work it in.

The Dr Dennis Gross Dark Spot Concentrated Serum is worth £23 and can be found here.

14. 3INA Makeup – The Cream Eyeshadow 313 Light Brown

Christmas party eyes are covered with this Cream Eyeshadow from 3ina. This gorgeous metallic bronze eyeshadow cream is super pigmented and applies really easily!

The 3ina Makeup Cream Eyeshadow is worth £12.95 and can be found here.

15. Curaprox BE YOU Candy Lover Toothpaste

This was definitely one of my favourite products of the calendar… Curaprox have created a whitening, bacteria fighting toothpaste… but it’s watermelon flavour! Watermelon flavour toothpaste! So your sweet tooth can be enjoying the sweet flavour of watermelon whilst cleaning and protecting your teeth.

The Curaprox Be You Candy Lover Toothpaste is worth £3.10 and can be found here.

16. Nude by Nature Touch of Glow Highlight Stick

It wouldn’t be a Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar without a bit of highlight now would it? This champagne shade highlighter stick from Nude by Nature is the perfect size to throw in your clutch bag and top up throughout the night. It’s made with 100% natural ingredients including Kakadu Plum and vitamin E so it works to moisturise your skin and keep it looking perfect all night.

The Nude by Nature Touch of Glow Highlight Stick is worth £9 and can be found here.

17. Rituals – Ritual of Sakura Body Cream

The Rituals Ritual of Sakura Body Cream is the perfect body cream to keep your skin supple and hydrated in the colder weather. It’s a blend of moisturising rice milk and vitamin E to nourish the skin. It smells incredible too – a faint hint of cherry blossom which lasts on your skin for a while after applying.

The Rituals Ritual of Sakura Body Cream is worth £8.41 and can be found here.

18. Dr.PAWPAW – Original Clear Balm

A classic product from Dr Paw Paw to keep lips, cuticles and irritated skin moisturised and soothed. Containing a blend of olive oil and Aloe Vera, your lips are protected from irritants and cold weather.

The Dr Paw Paw Original Clear Balm is worth £3.95 and can be found here.

19. Avant Skincare – Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream

Next is a product from Avant Skincare – one of the most luxurious brands in the Glossybox Advent Calendar. This Pro Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream contains a blend of hyaluronic acid, sea water, jojoba oil and soy lecithin to hydrate the complexion, even out skin tone and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It’s an all round wonder cream!

Avant products are always incredible and I’m sure this will be no different.

The Avant Pro Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream is worth £98 and can be found here.

20. Barry M Cosmetics Blusher Quad

When our tans are fading in these colder months, Barry M have got us covered with this Quad Blusher palette to give us some colour on the cheeks! With four different shades to choose from, there’s a blusher for all occasions depending on how you want to wear your makeup. You could even blend all four together for the ultimate blush finish.

The Barry M Cosmetics Blusher Quad is worth £5.99 and can be found here.

21. Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant

The winter weather and heavier makeup can sometimes leave skin a little clogged and in need of a refresh. This Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant does exactly that, unclogging pores and removing the toxins from your skin. It’s a little different from other exfoliants too – to apply, wet your hands and add half a teaspoon of the product into your palm. Rub together to create a creamy paste and apply onto clean skin.

The Dermalogica Superfoliant is worth £17.50 and can be found here.

22. Kat Von D Beauty – Tattoo Eyeliner Liquid Eyeliner

Another big brand in this year’s Glossybox Advent Calendar! The Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner is an award winning vegan eyeliner. The tip is a brush rather than felt tip which gives a more precise finish. It’s also waterproof and smudge resistant!

The Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner is worth £6.18 and can be found here.

23. Steve Laurant Lip Tint – Cherry

Another product for the lips now but in a more Christmassy colour – cherry red! I’ve used this product before but in another shade and it’s perfect for keeping lips hydrated whilst adding a little colour. It’s the perfect lip colour for the colder weather as it works to moisturise the lips as well as giving them colour.

The Steve Laurant Lip Tint is worth £17.33 and can be found here.

24. Nails Inc Nail Polish – Golden Days Ahead

Nails Inc have brought us the ultimate Christmassy gold nail varnish in shade ‘Golden Days Ahead’. Nails Inc is one of my favourite nail brands because the colours are super long lasting and pigmented so whilst I always apply 2 coats, one is definitely enough!

The Nails Inc Nail Varnish in Golden Days Ahead is worth £11 and can be found here.

25. Tarte Cosmetics Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette – Limited Edition

And finally the product we have all been waiting for… and the product that is worth half the price of the entire £80 advent calendar! On Christmas Day Glossybox have treated us with this Park Ave Princess Chisel Palette from Tarte… and it’s Limited Edition too.

The palette features two highlighter shades and four bronze/contour shades to give you the ultimate chiselled look this Christmas!

Not only does the palette look incredible – the powders also contain Amazonian Clay and Vitamin E to keep your skin happy too! Both the highlighters and the contour shades are super blendable, allowing you to achieve the perfect finished look with ease.

The Tarte Cosmetics Park Ave Princess Palette is worth £40 and can be found here.
