Calling all beauty addicts! Take a peek inside the January 2018 Glossybox in this FULL Glossybox January Beauty Box Review.
Welcome to Glossybox! Yep, that’s right, I’m a Glossy newbie!
I’ve been subscribed to Birchbox for a few years now and I don’t know why I decide to look up Glossybox online but I did… and then I purchased a subscription.. Oops! (Definitely not oops 🙂 ).
I’m a little late to the January Glossybox party (but better late than never, hey?) and I ordered my box 3 days ago. A knock on the door this morning and there’s postie with my parcel. Super quick delivery time and actually delivered to my door (and not my bin like some delivery companies)… first big tick!
☑ Fast delivery
The box felt much heavier than other boxes I’ve tried in the past and was decorated in the Glossybox logo. I carefully opened it and found a gorgeous high quality pink box, complete with removable lid with the Glossybox logo in the middle. It looked so premium, I loved it already!
☑ Pretty Box
Inside the box was the card with details of all the products inside, what to do with them, and the RRP etc. Underneath this was pink tissue paper wrapping the products together with a black ribbon around it. How pretty! I love opening presents and the unwrapping was never ending; this was definitely my new favourite box so far!
☑ Cute Wrapping
The theme in this months box is rebooting and rejuvenating after the party season and so the five products are tailored to giving your skin that extra bit of tlc.
In the January Glossybox I received:
1. Boots – Beauty Beneath Supplements
Can I first start by saying this product retails at £39.99! What amazing value already!
This is a one month supply of capsules which work to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve the texture of your skin. There are two different types of capsule both packed full of vitamins for glowing skin! One of each capsule should be taken each day to boost collagen production in the skin and you should start to see results in 4-5 weeks.
2. Dr Botanicals – Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil Travel Size
This pretty pink oil is packed full of skin enriching minerals and vitamins to keep your skin super soft and healthy! A little goes a long way too, so this bottle will probably last me quite a long time! The full size (30ml) version of the product retails at £55 (on www.drbotanicals.com), so this travel size bottle (15ml) is worth £27.50! Incredible value!
3. Nail Medic – Nail and Cuticle Energizer
Now it’s time for a bit of loving for your nails with this nail and cuticle energizer. Sounds snazzy, right?! And no surprises here… this full sized bottle is full of vitamins and nutrients to help you grow strong, healthy nails and cuticles. Massage a couple of drops into the nail bed/cuticle area and let it work its magic!
And can I say how pretty the colour is?! It’s pink AND purple… How cool is that?! I’m such a sucker for pretty things! You can pick this up online for £5.99.
4. Apicia – Cream Blush
I’m not usually one to wear blusher but I’m going to give this one a try. This one is a little different to any blusher I’ve used before because it’s actually cream… and not a cream compact… a tube of cream. How unusual!
It’s a gorgeous deep honey pink shade which will suit most skin tones and the more applied to the skin, the stronger the colour gets, so you can apply as little or as much as you want depending on what look you’re going for. The blush contains organic bee pollen to nourish your skin and leave it feeling fresh and smooth! This is a full size product worth £22.
5. Evelyn Iona Cosmetics – Green Tea Primer
I swear by primers! I can really notice the difference in my makeup when I haven’t used a primer or I forgot to apply one, and it’s not great, let me tell you! This green tea primer is full of natural ingredients, including avocado oil, so just like the others, this product is bursting with vitamins to help your skin stay extra soft and healthy! This is a full size product and is worth £22!
So those are the five beauty items I received in my first Glossybox… and what do I think?
I think the box is incredible value for money with a wide range of brands and products included. The handy help card tells you a little more about each product and how to use them which is very helpful and saves time Googling them! The box looks and feels so high quality and the ribbon and tissue packing is so pretty!
Four of the five products were full size and not samples which is pretty amazing for a subscription box! There’s nothing worse than wanting to try a product but not being able to get a good enough feel for it before the product has all gone!
Overall, I’m super impressed with the box and I can’t wait to try out all of my new beauty products!
