It’s been a while since we had a big launch from Kylie, but the wait is over and she is back with some brand new skincare we are all going to love!
During lockdown most people have had much more time to focus on their skincare routine and find products that really work… I definitely have. In fact, my passion for skincare has increased so much, I’m really enjoying trying new products!
Kylie Skin is launching a brand new collection next week featuring 3 skincare products and one skincare tool. The Clarifying Collection focusses on products designed to clear the skin, remove congestion and overall refine the complexion. These sound perfect for summer when our skin produces more oil and our pores get clogged. Likewise it sounds like it’s going to be great for an oily complexion.
The three products included in the Clarifying Collection are:
- Detox Face Mask
- Clear Complexion Correction Stick
- Clarifying Facial Oil
And the skincare took is a Face Mask Brush. All of the products have been designed to be used alone, or together. So you can mix and match or use the whole collection as part of your routine.
Let’s take a look at each product and its benefits
KYLIE SKIN DETOX FACE MASK – $22
First is the Kylie Skin Detox Face Mask. It’s a clay type textured mask which comes in a tub and you’d use the brush tool to apply it to the skin.
One of the main ingredients in the Kylie Skin Detox Face Mask is Kaolin Clay which gently exfoliates the skin whilst soothing it. There’s also Bentonite Clay and Charcoal, two ingredients to deeply cleanse the skin, remove any impurities and excess oil.
The formula includes hydrating ingredients such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid so the product is working to replenish the skin whilst it’s exfoliating.
KYLIE SKIN CLEAR COMPLEXION CORRECTION STICK – $15
Next the Kylie Skin Clear Complexion Correction Stick is a more precise product to target certain areas of the skin that need ‘clearing’. The gel is applied to the area that needs correcting, such as a spot and it works to gently exfoliate the skin.
It contains a combination of salicylic acid, glycolic acid and witch hazel which together work to exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells and smooth the skin.
The description does say this product is gentle, but alcohol denat does feature very highly on the ingredient list, so whilst this will contribute to the removal of a spot, it can have irritating and drying effects on the skin.
KYLIE SKIN CLARIFYING FACIAL OIL $24
The third product is the Clarifying Facial Oil. To be used after the mask, the oil works to clarify the skin (bit of a hint in the name of the collection) whilst conditioning it.
The oil contains vitamin E and a combination of oils which nourish the skin whilst the salicylic acid gently exfoliates an improves the appearance of wrinkles. One of the key ingredients in this is Safflower Oil which contains a high concentration of linoleic acid which is great for replenishing moisture in oily skin types and balancing sebum production.
All three products are fragrance free, so they’re suitable for even sensitive skin.
KYLIE SKIN FACE MASK BRUSH $14
Kylie has also included this cute Face Mask Brush to use to apply the face mask. Using a brush means the product goes onto the skin so much easier, smoother and mess free.
