For many of us, Valentines Day is celebrated on 14th February and is a day dedicated to showing your significant other how much they mean to you. However, in recent years you may have heard the term ’Galentines’ become much more popular.. but what does Galentines mean?
Galentines Day has grown in popularity in recent years and is a day dedicated to female friendships - ‘the gals’. Galentines Day usually takes place on 13th February and it’s a day to celebrate and enjoy our friends.
The unofficial holiday began as an alternative to Valentine’s Day for those who aren’t in a relationship but it’s becoming more accepted to celebrate both Valentines and Galentines for those in a relationship.
So whether you and your friends are single or in a relationship, why not celebrate Galentines Day this year and enjoy a day with your besties? Put the ‘gal’ in Galentines and drink to your friendship. It’s the perfect holiday for every woman to celebrate, whether she is in a relationship or not.
After a crazy 2020, Galentines Day this February is the perfect opportunity to celebrate your friends and show them how incredible they are and how grateful you are to have them in your life.
It might still be a little different than usual with many bars, restaurants or social places closed…

Send Flowers
Everyone loves receiving flowers in the mail, opening the door to a bouquet of your favourite flowers is such a lovely feeling. You can even send ‘letterbox’ flowers now which come flat packed for posting and once in a vase they come to life.
Girls Night in - virtually
Whether you fancy a pamper night with new PJs, a facemask and a bottle of wine, or you fancy getting dressed up, popping some tunes on and having a dance, a zoom party with your besties is a great way to celebrate Galentines. It’s as close as we can get to a night out right now so let’s make the most of it!
Brunch… virtually
Virtual brunch could be getting together on zoom and eating your fave snacks, or finding a recipe to all cook together on zoom before having a natter whilst eating it.
