The LookFantastic Beauty Box is back with a bang this November with it’s Firecracker Edition. Designed to help us enjoy the cosy evenings in as it gets colder and darker, and embrace in a little self-care and ‘me time’.
This month’s purple-y (maroon-y/pinky) and orange box is filled with 6 items which have been carefully selected just for this edit, including haircare, nail care, skincare and makeup. It really is a perfect selection for a bit of a pamper!
As always the box comes accompanied with the brochure which not only tells us a bit about each product, but also brings us interviews with brands, the low-down on certain skincare/beauty ingredients and brand spotlight features where they showcase a brand’s product selection.
And on the back of the booklet we have the sneak peek for the December Beauty Box which is the Avant Pro Radiance Brightening Eye Final Touch worth a huge £98! It’s an eye cream which works to fight signs of ageing whilst delivering long lasting hydration to the eye area. It’s said to give the eyes a more youthful glow too – can’t wait to try it!
So let’s take a look at what’s inside the November Look Fantastic Beauty Box!
1. POLAAR – ICE PURE MICELLAR WATER WITH ARCTIC COTTON
First is a skincare product from the brand Polaar, and it’s the Micellar Water with Arctic Cotton…sounds incredible doesn’t it! This is said to use the powers of Arctic Cotton to remove all kinds of makeup without drying the skin out, but instead keeping it super hydrated and smooth.
I’d personally use this to remove my makeup initially then follow with a cleanser to make sure everything has been removed, including the micellar water residue. It’s simple to use, just add a small amount to a cotton pad, or reusable bamboo pad and sweep over the face, focusing on the areas where you want the makeup to be removed.
2. THIS WORKS – PERFECT LEGS SKIN MIRACLE
This months box featured a product by This Works but you receive one of two. I received the Perfect Legs Skin Miracle which is a lightly tinted serum which covers imperfections whilst leaving a sun kissed glow on the skin. It’s also enriched with Vitamin C which is brightening on the skin, and Vitamin E which is incredible for the skin too.
If you don’t receive the Perfect Legs Skin Miracle you’ll receive the In Transit Camera Closeup which is a 3-in-1 Mask, Moisturiser and primer… all in one product! I’ve used this before and it’s fab. I’d use it solely as a primer and it created the perfect base for my makeup.
3. LORD & BERRY – GOLD EYELINER PENCIL
Next is the only makeup product in the box, an eyeliner from Lord & Berry. Again you receive one of two shades, either gold or bronze. I received the gold pencil which is perfect for the Christmas season. Even if we aren’t going anywhere, we don’t need an excuse to get dressed up with some festive Christmas makeup, do we?!
This will look fab either in the waterline or under the lower lash line to add a little bit of sparkle and shine to a makeup look. Lord and Berry pencils are always really pigmented and long lasting too.
4. PHILIP KINGSLEY – PURE COLOUR FRIZZ FIGHTING GLOSS
Then onto the haircare product this month which is from Philip Kingsley. With this product you also receive one of two selections, either the Pure Colour Gloss, or the Shampoo & Conditioner Duo. I received the Pure Colour Gloss which basically acts as a heat protector whilst making the hair super sleek and frizz free.
The shampoo and conditioner are from the Body Building range and contain a combination of ingredients to give the hair long lasting body and bounce.
5. NAOBAY – DETOX UNPOLLUTED OXYGEN LIGHT CREAM
The final skincare product in the box is from Naobay and it’s the Detox Oxygen Light Cream – a lightweight moisturiser for the face. It contains a cocktail of incredible ingredients including aloe vera, green tea, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil to not only deeply moisturise the skin but also protect it from free radicals.
6. NAILS INC. – NAIL VARNISH IN PORTLAND SQUARE
The final product is this gorgeous little nail varnish from Nails Inc in the shade Portland Square – it’s a beautiful red/orange shade which is perfect for this time of year. It’s also fuelled by charcoal which is pretty interesting because not only does it give a perfect colour to your nails, it also protects the nails from environmental aggressors.
From experience, Nails Inc nail varnishes are really long lasting and if applied over a base coat and under a top coat, they chip a lot less than other brands!
